Return Policy and Inspection Period
We understand that purchasing a luxury timepiece is a significant decision. To give you complete peace of mind, we offer a strict 3-Day Inspection Period on all eligible watch purchases.
1. The 3-Day Inspection Window: Your 3-day inspection period begins the moment the carrier records the package as delivered. If you are not entirely satisfied with your acquisition, you must notify us within this 3-day window to initiate a return.
2. Condition of Return: To qualify for a full refund, the timepiece must be returned in the same condition in which it was shipped. The watch cannot have been worn, sized, adjusted, or altered in any way. All factory plastics, protective films, hang tags, boxes, manuals, and warranty papers must remain intact and included in the return. Please note that if a watch is returned with removed links, peeled stickers, or signs of wear—even minor hairline scratches—Summit Watch Collection reserves the right to refuse the return or assess a minimum 15 percent restocking fee to cover polishing and devaluation.
3. Return Process: To begin a return, contact your Summit Watch Collection representative to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns shipped without an RMA will be refused. The buyer is responsible for the cost of return shipping, and the package must be shipped overnight and fully insured for the full purchase price via our approved carriers, such as FedEx or UPS. Upon receiving the return, our watchmakers will perform a thorough inspection. Once the condition is verified, a refund will be issued to the original payment method within 48 to 72 business hours, minus the original shipping and handling costs.
Timepiece Care and Maintenance Instruction
A mechanical watch is a masterpiece of micro-engineering. With proper care, your timepiece from Summit Watch Collection will last for generations. Please follow these essential guidelines to protect your investment.
1. Water Resistance A "Water Resistant" watch is not universally waterproof, so please consult your watch’s specific depth rating before exposing it to water. Always ensure the winding crown and chronograph pushers are fully screwed down or locked before the watch comes into contact with water, and never operate them while submerged. Additionally, never wear your watch in a hot shower, sauna, or hot tub. Heat expands the rubber gaskets that seal the watch, allowing microscopic steam particles to enter and cause catastrophic damage to the movement.
2. Mechanical Movement: Care. Never manually quick-set the date on your watch between the hours of 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM. During this "danger zone" window, the movement's gears are already engaged to turn the date wheel automatically. Forcing the date manually during this time can break the internal gears. If your automatic watch has stopped, do not rely solely on shaking it to start the movement. Manually wind the crown 20 to 30 times to give the mainspring a full power reserve before strapping it to your wrist.
3. Shocks and Magnetism: Unless you are wearing a purpose-built sports watch, avoid wearing your mechanical watch while playing golf, tennis, or engaging in high-impact activities. The shock generated can severely damage the delicate internal components. You should also keep your watch away from strong magnetic fields, including speakers, laptops, and magnetic briefcases. Magnetism can cause the hairspring to stick together, resulting in the watch running extremely fast. If this happens, it is a quick and inexpensive fix for a watchmaker to demagnetize.
4. Cleaning and Storage: To keep your watch looking its best, gently wipe the case and crystal with a dry, clean microfiber cloth. For metal bracelets on water-resistant watches, a soft-bristle toothbrush with mild soap and warm water can be used to remove dirt between the links. Store your timepiece in a dry, room-temperature environment, preferably in its original box, a dedicated watch roll, or a high-quality watch winder.
5. Routine Servicing: Like a high-performance vehicle, luxury mechanical watches require periodic maintenance. We recommend having your watch's movement serviced and its water-resistance gaskets pressure-tested every 5 to 7 years by a certified watchmaker.
